PRESENTED WORK OF FIELD GUARD SERVICE

City Municipality of Palilula as responsible organization of local self – government of the city in service of citizens, promoted a beginning of work on the project – “Work of Field Guard Service”. On this occasion, in the hall of Nis` Cultural Center, representatives of Administration of Agriculture and Rural Development, gave a presentation of the project for presidents of Citizens` Council from the territory of Palilula Municipality, members of agriculture associations and members of Assembly from rural area of Palilula Municipality. About program of work of field guard service and cooperation with citizens on the territory of City Municipality of Palilula spoke Boris Petrov, engineer of agriculture and agro economics and Boban MIkic, member of  the Council of Palilula Municipality. As they have said this service aims to improve safety of crops on rural area, as to take care of environment preservation.

According to Boris Petrov, the aim is to introduce low in the agricultural land and reduce damage to farms. Administration of Agriculture of City of Nis signed contracts with seven field guards who are chosen on open competition. Them expects very difficult and responsible task because each of them will cover up to 5500 hectares of agriculture land. All field guards have a uniform, official ID, bike, binoculars and communications equipment. They come with the territory they cover and are well aware of terrain. In this workshop, Dragan Petrovic, manager of field guard service, presented Dragoslav Todorovic and Ivan Milojkovic, field guards who will work on the territory of CM Palilula. All of them got their regions which will be touring by motorcycles and about observed irregularities alert manager and coordinator of field guard service.

Ivan Petkovic, coordinator of field guard service, in its presentation to the participants of the meeting, explained that newly funded service will work under Public Utility Enterprise “Gorica”. If they catch perpetrator in the act – says Petkovic, field guard will make a photograph, take a statement from him and write a report, what will be a maximum five days to inform appropriate inspections. If field guard notice damage or if citizens inform him and a perpetrator is not found, he inform coordinator of the service who to impaired within 2 days delivered report. It is expected that transparency in work as a direct communications and good cooperation of interested sides, field guards and farmers, was assessed on this presentation, provide achieve the set goals of the project. This meeting in Palilula Municipality, Administration of Agriculture and Rural Development used to make invitation – information to the residents of Mramor, Mramorski Potok, Krusce, Donje Vlase, Gavrobac and Vukmanovo, who are owners of land from 6th  to 8th class and who are interested to reforest their lots (black pine and locust) that on the meeting can sign contract and get support of Administration, which is the carrier of the activities of reforestation.
